Tropical Recharge & Restore: soul nourishment on a private herbal sanctuary and permaculture farm
Art, yoga, hiking and farm to table food in Maui, HI
On the southeastern tip of Maui lies Kipahulu. It is a paradise of rainforests, waterfalls, pools, mountain valleys and sweeping ocean views. It is here on a magical, private farm we will go deep into our practice and transformational journey by way of art, yoga, hiking and nourishment.
Come together for a rejuvenating experience while you are enjoying delicious and nourishing food prepared with fresh, organic fruits and vegetables grown directly on the farm.
Permaculture Farm & Rooms:
We will be staying on 13-acre family farm in the Kipahulu Valley on Maui, surrounded by lush green mountainsides. The land has been farmed using organic practices since the beginning (1996) and is continually evolving to include more sustainable and ecologically sound practices on the land.
The accommodations are situated directly on the farm with an open air feel and the most beautiful ocean views. You will feel the sensation of integration with the land through the location and design of the buildings.
The accommodations are simple and comfortable with a tropical open air feel. You will find the comfort of the modern world in contact with nature and breathtaking views of the ocean. The rooms come with shared bathrooms and functional common areas. The grounds include a yoga studio and restaurant.
Yoga is about union with our higher centers of perception. This retreat is an opportunity to nourish your body with delicious healthy food, connect with nature, learn a new craft and find spiritual and physical alignment.
Each morning you will be guided through yoga, accompanied by a meditation to guide you through your own unique intention. A gentle restorative practice will set the pace for our evenings. Whether you are new to your practice or a seasoned practitioner, rest easy as you honor your space and take your practice at your own pace. All levels are welcome.
All meals are included and will be prepared with the organic food grown in rich, volcanic soils from the onsite farm.

Founder of Juniper & Stone, The Studio of April Nemeth and Little Korboose, April has spent her entire life committed to both her design and mind/body practice.
From a family of unconventional creatives where prayer and mediation were a daily practice and graduating with a BFA/masters degree in design from Kent State University, April found the combination of art & yoga to be a perfect blend. At an early age her parents instilled the concept of travel as a method to gain awareness and experiential education not found in a book, an idea April still lives by today. Having experienced the healing benefits of art, yoga and travel since she was a child, she started sharing her practices with communities near and far. She founded Juniper & Stone Yoga in 2018. She still maintains her home goods brand, Little Korboose which she started in 2008 as well as her design and art practice.
April designs her classes much like she would any piece of art allowing negative space for elements to breath and hierarchy and contrast of form to produce a dynamic composition. Her Vinyasa flow is much like a modern interpretive dance as she transitions one pose seamlessly to the next, consistently finding creative ways to implement the element of art.
April not only has multiple degrees in design but has completed her 200 hour teacher training with Kimberly Payne. Her design influences range from the work of modern architect Le Corbusier to the suggestive dichotomy paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat. She is a seeker of knowledge and has studied non-traditional methods of healing her entire life.
Founder of Divinitree yoga Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz, Ann has spent the last 15 years committed to learning and teaching yoga in its many diverse forms all around the world. From the Himalayas to the Amazon and from Fiji to Kenya, Ann has been harvesting seeds of wisdom and weaving together a tapestry of transformational tools into her life and teachings.
Graduating form Northwestern University with a degree in Eastern religion and cultural anthropology (with a specialization in traditional healing methods of indigenous cultures) Ann found yoga as the perfect path for healing ourselves and the planet.
Developing her own style, Gypsy Yoga Flow, Ann’s classes are inspiring, transformational, and challenging. Known for her deeply spiritual and yet highly athletic classes, Gypsy Yoga Flow is meant to bring practitioners to an edge and is based on the belief that when we push ourselves out of our comfort zones and walk the edge we truly live.
Fusing power vinyasa with the freedom and femininity of dance, the energetic knowledge of chi gong, and the power of kundalini yoga, Gypsy Yoga Flow is known for its intense strength building, strongly intention based nature, and deeply intuitive, liberating, circular movements.
A committed student of yoga, Ann has a masters degree in education and has completed two 200 hour teacher trainings with Ana Forest and Janet Stone. Constantly immersing herself in teachings to keep her classes fresh, Ann’s current inspiration comes from teachers like Janet Stone, Rusty Wells, Jonny Kest, and Stephanie Snyder.
*Ann and April met when they were 15 years old both having attended Gilmour Academy, a college preparatory school in Gates Mills, OH known for their liberal arts program and excellence in academia. They come together to guide whenever possible having mutual respect for one another's individual practices and expertise. Juniper & Stone is elated to have Ann as a special guest guide for this retreat as her knowledge of the Andes and relationships with the Andean people is expansive.
